Swimming Like a Fish

Dad and Tallis have a new tradition together - swimming lessons! So far they've been swimming together four times - three at the little swim school in our neighborhood (Swim Like a Fish) and once at the Murray Recreation Center on our holiday trip. Except for once when he was a little too tired, Tallis has been very happy in the water. Not that he's an expert yet - he likes to relax instead of kick his feet like he's supposed to - but he doesn't mind going underwater (many steps ahead of his mom!), he's studying bubble-blowing, and he looks really good in a swimming suit (again, many steps ahead of his mom!). We're not silly enough to think that he's really learning to swim yet, but if he gets comfortable with water so that learning to swim comes easily later, we've accomplished one purpose. The other purpose, of course, is simply to have some daddy-son bonding time. Go Dad!
